Role: UI/UX Designer
Experience: 2-5 years
Location: Chennai, India
Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of target customers and internalize product vision and strategy.
- Develop sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes on Figma.
- Rapidly iterate on prototypes and designs based on feedback.
- Share prototypes, assets, and designs with engineers, ensuring there is no knowledge gap.
- Communicate complex concepts, the rationale for design decisions, design ideas, and prototypes to different audiences including developers.
- Conduct UX audits and tests; Iterate over existing designs; Optimize customer experience continuously.
- Provide feedback on existing or newly developed customer/user experiences to the engineering team.
- Stay current with similar products, features, & industry trend; incorporate them into design as appropriate.
Required skills and experience
- 2+ years of proven experience in UX Design, UI Design, or a similar role. Preferably with SaaS products
- Previous experience implementing the design thinking process and a solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning, and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility concerns.
- Has previously worked with or managed developers.
- Strong, referenceable portfolio of representative design work and the UX development process
- Ability to communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively to teams and clients.
- Proficient in design software like Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, XD
- BSc in Design, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred, but not mandatory)
